I've reserved a large campsite at North Mountain Park in Casa Grande for anyone who wants to tent camp, car camp, park their RV, or just sleep in their car before or after the brevet.
The campground is operated by the city of Casa Grande. The campsite is rustic and includes restrooms, a ramada with table and benches, and sometimes an electrical outlet. There are no showers or water. On the other hand, it's quiet and secluded, offers beautiful desert scenery, and it's free.
The road through the campground is dirt and sandy. You will have no trouble with a car or 2-wheel drive truck, but if you have a HUGE RV you may want to consult with me ahead of time or drive to the entrance and check out the road yourself.
The gates to the campground are locked at 11 pm at night. Normally the gate opens at 6 am but I will arrange to have the gates open earlier than that so you can get out in the morning in time for the brevet. Because the gate must be locked again after the brevet riders leave, everyone staying at the campground must leave in the morning at the same time. You'll know ahead of time when the gate opening/closing will be.
Be aware that permits are required and know that I have secured the necessary permits for your visit.
Space is limited, so let me know if you plan to take advantage of this.

Directions from Phoenix and points north:
- Take I-10 south and get off at Exit 185. Exit sign says "AZ-387 to Casa Grande / Coolidge - Florence."
- Bear right while on the exit ramp and go south on Pinal Avenue.
- At the first light, turn left (east) on Val Vista.
- At the end, turn left (N) onto Cox.
- Cox becomes a dirt road. North Mountain Park is at the end of the dirt road. Turn left through the gate and into the park.
- Keep to the left. (Road to the right goes to the ranger's house.)
We are not always assigned the same camp site, so I'll have to let you know which site we've been assigned before each brevet.
